Civic Infolink started with a small team of engineers who kept hearing the same complaint from clients: enterprise software didn't have to be this painful to use, or this fragile to maintain. Most of it wasn't badly built by accident — it was built quickly, under pressure, without anyone stepping back to draft a proper specification first.
So that's where we start every engagement: with a draft, not a demo. We map the workflow, the data, and the edge cases before a line of production code is written, the same way you would not pour foundations before finishing the blueprint. It is slower in week one and considerably faster in month eleven.
Today that shows up as two sides of the same studio: a small line of in-house products — CivicDesk, CivicCRM, and CivicPay — that we use ourselves and support continuously, and a custom development practice for organisations whose workflow does not fit anything off the shelf.
